Postpartum Doula; (n)
One who holds the mother, when the rest of the world wants to hold the baby.
A postpartum doula provides evidenced-based information on things such as infant feeding, emotional and physical recovery from birth, mother-baby bonding, infant soothing, and basic newborn care. Research shows that moms, dads, and babies have an easier time with this transition if a good support team is in place.
I offer many services to my clients, but my main goal is to “Mother the Mother”. This would include doing things to help mom (and dad) feel more confident in their roles, sharing education on family adjustment, and tending to the unique needs of a new mother.
Support may look like...
-
Breastfeeding support
-
Emotional & physical recovery support after birth
-
Light housekeeping
-
Infant care
-
Infant care education and support
-
Meal preparation
-
Infant soothing techniques
-
Sibling support
-
Referrals to local resources
-
Daytime or overnight support
-
Constant communication... text me any time and I will reply as soon as I can

A little bit about Lauren
Hey there!
First and foremost, I’m a wife and a mom to two amazing little boys, ages 7 and 4. We live in beautiful Hunterdon County, NJ with our playful puppy, Nico!
When my oldest was born, I had no idea how deeply postpartum would affect me. How it would shake me, shape me, and ultimately change me. I don’t share this to scare you, but to let you know: I truly understand. Motherhood is an incredible journey, but it can also be life-altering in ways we don’t always expect. And I want to help.
I’ve always had a passion for helping others. But it wasn’t until I became a mom that I realized how crucial it is to support the mother. Whether she’s a first-timer, a seasoned pro, or navigating a new chapter. Welcoming a baby is beautiful... and it’s a huge shift for the whole family.
My hope is to bring you support, comfort, validation, and rest.
I can’t wait to meet you.
XOXO-
Lauren
